ABOUT ME
I am Cristina,
a professional singer, improviser, psychologist and music therapist.

I help people to become aware of their emotions and parts, understand and express themselves better, using a combination of psychological techniques, body and voice work.
I accompany you in the process of feeling, expressing, containing and integrating your emotions and parts, providing you with the tools and support that you need.
Together we can create space for your vulnerabilities and your talents. This will enable you to lead your life with clarity and self-respect, developing more understanding and compassion towards yourself and others.

Moreover, working with me, you will learn how to use your voice freely and have fun with it!

My story
I see myself as an intuitive, empathic and passionate woman. I am always open to new adventures, and hungry for self-development and connection. I think life is an incredible opportunity to develop our full potential. This is my main goal, together with assessing our balance and working on maintaining harmony.

But I had to go through some storms to get where I am now... I was born in the early 1980s, in Italy, into a very challenging family. At an early age, when the environment around me was becoming unpleasant, I found I could retreat to my room and sing. I soon understood that my voice was a tool for handling the stress but also a resource for channelling my moods, emotions, thoughts.

When I was a teenager I decided I wanted to turn this gift into my life’s work, so I started to study singing. I graduated in classical singing in 2008 and embarked on my career as a professional singer. At the same time, I decided to explore my passion for psychology, and completed my degree in “Psychological Processes for the Person and the Community” in 2011.

That was also the year that I began my own therapy journey, which would last more than seven years, together with numerous workshops and courses in different psychological methodologies (Polyvagal Theory, EMI, Mindfulness, IFS, Compassion focused Therapy, Gestalt). The need to expand my horizons led me to leave my country and move to the Netherlands, where I currently live. Here, I obtained a masters degree in solo early music singing at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
With time, it gradually became clear that I needed to use my voice in a more emotionally expressive way. Indeed, my favourite works include free improvisation and free expression. I understood that to access and manifest my full potential during performances, I had to dive deeper into psychotherapy, meditation, body work and breathing techniques. Years of self work and performance experience led me to develop a totally personal approach to using my voice and my body to freely express myself, deal with emotions and heal trauma.

I call this approach VOICE IT NOW.

In 2023 I graduated in Music Therapy at Codarts Rotterdam. This is the place where I was able to develop new tools and skills that currently allow me to take care of my clients with even more dedication and experience.
I feel ready to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with you!
